Older people are more likely to stockpile than younger people, although stockpiling peaks amongst 36-45 year olds and falls slightly for those over 45. Why is this? Do young people consider their fellow shoppers more? Are they simply able to go shopping more often and don’t feel the need to stockpile? Or, perhaps, they face tighter financial budgets than older peers and simply don’t have the means to stockpile.
